Kundapur, Feb 9: In a tragic incident which happened at Japti village in the taluk on the night of Tuesday February 7, a boy accidentally fell into a well and drowned. He has been identified as Prajwal (7), son of Mutta Madivala, residing at Kailkere Kerebettu in Japti.

The boy, who had attended school on Tuesday, had come home in the evening. He then left to a nearby field to play. He had not returned home even at dusk, at which the family members went searching for him. They saw his body lying in the nearby well.

It is suspected that the boy accidentally slipped and fell in the well when returning home due to poor visibility. A report of unnatural death was thereafter filed in the town police station here.
