Mangaluru: Youth slices friend's nose, lips - booked by police

Mangaluru, Feb 13: A person who sliced the nose and lips of his friend in drunken stupor was arrested by the police on Sunday February 12. Reportedly he attacked his friend in a fit of rage, causing injuries to him.

Kritiraj (25) from Naguri here stands arrested for this offence. Madhu (21), a native of Hassan, stands hospitalized with injuries.

Kritiraj works for a sticker cutting shop. Madhu, who works for a shop dealing in eggs, had become Kritiraj's friend. Sunday being holiday, the two friends got together and consumed liquor from 2 to 4 pm. After coming out of the bar, they got into a fight over some frivolous issue. Reportedly, Madhu used derogatory words against Kritiraj's mother. Angered by this, Kritiraj swished the sticker cutting blade he had in his hand, as a result of which the nose and lips of
Madhu were sliced.

Madhu was admitted into a private hospital immediately. Kankanady police have registered a case.
