Mangaluru, April 4: A tipper hit the jeep of crime division sub-inspector who was on rounds, near Someshwar in the wee hours on Monday, April 3. The driver and the SI miraculously escaped injuries. Police took the tipper into custody near Kolya.

Crime division SI Mohandas and driver constable Prashanth have escaped unhurt.

The driver of the tipper who was scared, fled without stopping the tipper. The tipper was finally stopped and seized at Kolya.

A case is registered at Ullal police station.
