Mangaluru, Apr 8: In an incident reported from a spot located within Pandeshwar police station limits in the city, a minor girl has entered sixth month of pregnancy now on account of incest committed by her own father. In the meanwhile, sensing trouble, the father has decamped.

The accused is from West Bengal. He has settled down in the labour colony in Pandeshwar. Both the man and his wife work as coolies. Both of them are drunkards, and the husband had made it a practice to sleep at night by the side of his minor daughter. It is said that during this period, he intimidated his daughter into intercourse with him.

After the girl recently complained of stomach ache, the mother got her examined at the hospital. She came to know about her pregnancy. During the questioning by doctors, the girl revealed that her father was the predator.

Sensing that he was in trouble, the man fled. A case about the incident has been filed at women's police station at Pandeshwar. Police sources said that although they have been trying to arrest the culprit, he has been evading arrest by frequently changing his place of stay.
