Mangaluru, Apr 13: A person who had hired a room in a lodge at Deralakatte near here committed suicide in the room by hanging himself on Wednesday April 12. The suicide came to light on Wednesday afternoon.
The man who killed himself happened to be Trikesh (35), resident of Kovattalattil near Pinarayi, Thalassery in Kerala. He had hired a room in the said lodge after arriving at Deralakatte from Kerala for getting treatment in a private hospital at Deralakatte, on Tuesday.
A case stands filed in this regard in Konaje police station. The police are checking the likelihood of the man having decided to end his life, having been dismayed over prolonged illness. Arrival of family members of the deceased may throw more light on the case.
