Hassan: Gelatin sticks explode due to lightning - three die

Hassan, May 3: After lightning struck a stock of gelatin sticks stored in an illegal stone quarry near Koodlukoppalu hill near Kattaya in the taluk, three persons died. The incident took place on Tuesday May 2.

The deceased were Jagadish aged 55, a local, his son, Puneet Kumar (22) and Nagaraju (40) from Bettadahalli in Arkalgud taluk.

The police have registered a case. They are also investigating the illegal stone quarry. A case against the contractor, Yaduraja, has been registered.
