Bantwal: Granite-laden lorry topples; one dead, four seriously injured

Bantwal, May 9: A granite-laden lorry was lost control of by the driver and toppled at Kempugudde, Near Benjanapadavu on Monday evening, May 8.

One person died and four others were seriously injured in the incident. The deceased has been identified as Mahesh.
 
The lorry was transporting granite from Surathkal to the house of Sunil Lobo, Kuriala, Benjanapadavu. It toppled at the dangerous curve at Kempugudde. The deceased Mahesh was sitting on the granite behind the vehicle. The granite fell on him in the impact.

Mahesh, who is employed in the granite shop had come to Benjanapadavu in the lorry to unload granite.

A case has been registered at Bantwal traffic police station.
