Puttur: Two vehicles kept in shed gutted due to short circuit

Puttur, May 11: An auto rickshaw and a Honda Aviator two-wheeler which were parked in a shed at Panjala in Narimogru village in the taluk were gutted in fire during the night. The incident, which happened on the night of Monday, has been attributed to short circuit.

The auto rickshaw kept in the shed adjacent to the house of Hamid from Panjala belonged to him. The two-wheeler belonged to Nivedita, who lives in the next house. It is gathered that Nivedita had parked her two-wheeler in the shed belonging to Hamid as her courtyard was under repair and renovation.

The value of the auto rickshaw lost in the fire has been estimated at Rs 1.5 lac. The two-wheeler is worth Rs 80,000.
