Kundapur, Jun 9: After an unidentified vehicle knocked down a pedestrian crossing the road and sped away, the person lost his life on the spot. This incident happened in the early hours on Friday June 9 near Kamath Petrol Bunk at Koteshwar here.
As vehicles passing by the road thereafter continued to move over the body of the man, his body was completely battered and shredded. This has made the job of the victim's identification very difficult. The age of the deceased has been estimated to be between 30 and 35 years.
A case stands registered at the traffic police station and investigation is in progress.
