Mangaluru, Jun 30: M Sundar has been appointed by the department of prisons, Karnataka as the new superintendent (acting) of the district prison here.

Krishnamurthy, who was the superintendent in charge of the prison here stands transferred as jailor to Bengaluru. Krishnamurthy has been functioning here for some time.

Sundar is currently is working as jailor at Chamarajanagara.
