Puttur: Goldsmith commits suicide in family's absence

Puttur, Jul 6: A 37-year-old goldsmith, Raghav Acharya (37), living at Nandila near Haradi within the limits of the town police station here committed suicide on Wednesday July 5.

Acharya was alone at his home at the time. His wife was away attending a wedding function, while the children had been to school. Acharya hanged himself from the roof beams of his house.

The deceased was involved with carving gold jewellery on court road here. A case of unnatural death stands filed in this connection in the town police station here.
