Kasargod: Two passengers held, seven kg gold recovered

Kasargod, Jul 6: In an operation conducted by the customs officials at Karipur airport, Kozhikode, on Wednesday July 5, two passengers were arrested and seven kilograms of gold found in their possession was seized.

The two, identified as Muhammed Koya from Nadavannur in Kozhikode and Abdul Rahiman from Avilora Padupalattingal, Kozhikode, were arrested. They had arrived from a flight from Muscat.

The gold was found concealed inside locks, cutting machines, door handles and iron boxes. 3.728 kg gold was found in Koya's possession while Abdul Rahiman had 3.298 kg gold with him.
