Bantwal, Jul 7: After a Qualis car hit a motor bike at Krishnakody near Kalladka on Thursday July 6 morning, a youth who was riding the motor bike lost his life. The victim was Muhammed Owaisi (20), son of the late Ismail from Palyara Nandarabettu in B C Road Kaikamba.

The Qualis car in question was moving towards Mani from B C Road when it hit a motor bike coming from opposite direction. Owaisi, who suffered critical injuries in the accident, died on the spot.

Owaisi, it is learnt, had arrived at Thumbay on Saturday night to take part in the marriage function of his cousin. He had gone to Kalladka to drop off the son of his aunt. When returning, the accident happened. As his head directly hit the car, he suffered deep injuries to his face and scull and hence there was no chance of survival.

Owaisi was the last of four children of Ismail. After postmortem at the government hospital in the town, his body was buried at the graveyard at Palyara on Thursday afternoon.
