Kundapur, Jul 8: On a visit to Udupi for the inauguration of Kalyan Jewellers on Friday, July 7,  actor Shiva Rajkumar visited Yuva Meridian Bay Resort near Kundapur.

 “The natural beauty of coast is amazing. I am coming here after the film Rasa Sapthami. I have acted in several films in the surroundings. Substantial development is taking place in the coastal region. Grand hotels such as Meridian Bay Resort have come up. The hotel is constructed nicely. The hotel is situated in between Kundapur within a gap of 6 kilometres. The outdoor beauty here is excellent. The atmosphere also is right here. We should preserve such things,” said the Hattrick hero.

Speaking about the visit of Rahul Gandhi to his residence, he said "The visit has made me glad. I had gone for a campaign as my wife is a JDS candidate, but I have no intention to be identified in politics,” he said.

Speaking of his new film 'Freedom', he said that it is a story of patriotism. “As it has family sentiments, it is coming up nicely. It will be released in August,” he said.

Reacting to GST, he stated that the effect of GST on film industry was yet to be perceived. “I am prepared to extend any help asked by the film industry in this respect,” he said.

Yuva Meridian proprietor Udayakumar Shetty and Vijayakumar Shetty welcomed Shiva Rajkumar. Officials of Kalyan Jewellers were present. The actor later continued his journey by Helicopter from Meridian Helipad.
