Udupi: Muhurtham of upcoming fresh drama 'Pandre Povodchi' held

Udupi, Jul 8: The muhurtham of the brand-new tulu drama 'Pandre Povodchi' was held by district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj recently.

After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, the minister addressed the gathering and said, "Artistes should engage themselves in every field. May this drama team grow even more and the artists achieve success in all the ways."











Prakhyath Shetty Belkale,  the host of the theatre group, said, "May the off-screen artists, who do not get an opportunity to showcase their potential find encouragement in plays. May the Tulu language get prominence in Tulunadu'. Keeping these aspects in mind I am ready to work hard to achieve integrated development," said Prakhyat.

Kusalda Birse famed artiste Sandeep Shetty was felicitated on occasion.

Chief guests of the programme Janardhan Thonse, member, zilla panchayat Udupi, Dayanand Shetty Kojakuli, Rathna K, Shridhar Bhat, priest of Belkale Sri Mahalingeshwar temple, Dhananjay Kundar, member, taluk panchayat, Bhaskar, team director, Prabhakar Acharya, Subhas G Rao, team manager were present on occasion.

Prakhyat Shetty welcomed the gathering, Subas G proposed vote of thanks. Arun Salian compered the programme.
