Mangaluru, Jul 10: MLA J R Lobo inaugurated two concrete roads, the first and second cross roads of the Ekkur Bajal main, in Kankanady B ward, recently.
Speaking on occasion, the MLA said, "These days, people from the heart of the city are migrating to rural areas. Rural areas must improve. The corporator has conducted excellent developmental works,” he said.
Corporator Pravin Chandra Alva of B ward, who chaired the programme said that he tried his best to provide drainage, road, drinking water and other basic facilities in B ward. “The MLA has provided Rs 35 lacs from the MLA's funds for the purpose. Mangaluru corporation is taking special initiative towards rural development,” he said.
Former corporator Sheshamma, Prabhaker Sriyan, Kritin Kumar, Shashiraj Kothari, Wilfred, Shabir Ahmed, Herbert D'Souza and others were present at the inaugural.
