Kasargod: Missing woman's body found in well

Kasargod, Jul 13: The body of a married woman who had gone missing all of a sudden, was found in a well near her home on Tuesday July 11.

Ashalata (50), resident of Paivalike near Manjeshwar, had gone missing after she ventured outside her home on Tuesday July 11 morning.  Her husband and daughter, who went searching, found her footwear near a well near their house.

After the fire brigade at Uppala was informed, firemen arrived and searched inside the well. They found the body of the lady. It is suspected that the woman would have committed suicide.

The woman is survived by husband, a son, and two daughters apart from brother, sister, and many relatives. After postmortem of the mortal remains was conducted at Mangalpady government hospital, funeral was conducted at Attegoli graveyard on Tuesday evening.
