Mangaluru: Naveen R D’Souza appointed secretary of Karnataka pradesh Congress committee

Mangaluru, Jul 15: Young leader Naveen R D’Souza who was elected corporator of Mangaluru City Corporation by majority votes for three consecutive terms and was the president of Mangaluru Corporation taxes and finance standing committee, has been appointed as the Karnataka pradesh Congress committee secretary with immediate effect.

The appointment is made by All India Congress committee chief secretary Janardhan Dwivedi on recommendation by Karnataka region Congress committee president Dr G Parameshwar and approval by Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Naveen R D’Souza, besides being a member of Mangaluru Corporation has served as Dakshina Kannada district youth Congress secretary, state youth Congress secretary and a member of Rahul Gandhi’s youth Congress task force and also shouldered the responsibility of recruiting committees in Orissa, Punjab and Goa.

He was also a member in the committee of former Karnataka region Congress committee president Mallikarjun Kharge.
