Mangaluru: MLA J R Lobo inaugurates renovated road at Bejai

Mangaluru, Dec 19: MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the newly concretised road at Bejai 7th cross here on December 17. Lokayukta gave a go-ahead after irregularities were alleged in the road development work.

The condition of road at Ward No.32, 7th cross, Bejai was pathetic. Temporary repairs never helped the cause. Three years ago, an anonymous person had written to Lokayukta over irregularities and low quality patch work of potholes on the road. This delayed the concretisation of the road despite Rs 32 lac sanctioned from SFC grant for the same. After a long battle at the court, Lokayukta gave the green signal and submitted the report in January after inspecting the road.



Corporator Lancelot Pinto said, "This is a great occasion for us that the newly concretised road is being inaugurated. This will provide a sigh of relief for the pedestrians. Locals have been patient enough and supported us well. Mangaluru is being developed and MLA J R Lobo is showing keen interest towards developing the city.”

    Congress high command never bother to give a MLA ticket or make a wonderful and hardworking guy and one of super best among all the corporators Congress party has in Mangalore Corporation Prior to JR Lobo if Lancyam had been given the MLA ticket he would have done the work what JR Lobo has done and doing now,we could have seen this before 10 or 15 yrs.

    Almost 90 % of the Concreate work has been done in Bejai new road area and this is the first news of inugration shown. A wonderful Human being Lancelot Pinto.. Always a yes from him whenever approached for any help... A very simple down to earth person Lancy Pinto.. God Bless you for your tremendous services for all these years..
