Udupi: 'Congress will improve its tally in Karnataka' - Sorake

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Dec 19: "People of Gujarat have rejected Modi model of administration. This is evidenced by the fact that BJP got less seats than the previous election. Naturally, BJP, which is bragging about implementing Modi model in Karnataka, will bite the dust," said former minister and Kaup MLA, Vinay Kumar Sorake.

Speaking to media persons on Monday December 18, Sorake accused the central government and Gujarat state government of misusing administrative machineries and openly violating election codes of conduct. "You can guess how they would have violated codes of conduct internally," he remarked. He said that the central government has misused the Election Commission at its whims and fancies, and pointed out that the Election Commission had waited for the Prime Minister to bring down GST rate to five percent before announcing election. He said that the commission does not have even the courage to serve notice to BJP.

He analyzed the results in Gujarat to be victory for Congress as it gained in seats. He said that electronic voting machines have been tampered with, claiming that experts have already shown that these machines were hacked by BJP in Uttar Pradesh election. He felt that if ballot papers were used, BJP would have been defeated and Congress would have risen to power in both the states.
