Mangaluru: Snehalaya celebrates Christmas, opens vocational training hall

Mangaluru, Dec 21: Staff of Snehalaya on Wednesday December 20 inaugurated the vocational training Hall and laundry. Louis D'Souza and family inaugurated the hall and John Maxim D’Souza inaugurated the laundry.

The Snehalaya Staff then opened the stage programme with a prayer. Joseph Crasta delivered the welcome address while Rafeeq gave the Christmas message. Swaroop an inmate of Snehalaya delivered his testimony.

Prize distribution was held for the Snehalaya staff and inmates.



Fr Clement Mascarenhas was honoured for sponsoring the Snehalaya anthem, Norbert D’Souza for sponsoring the vocational training center hall and Abdul Rauf Puthige for becoming secretary of Karnataka JDS.

Snehalaya products namely Snehalaya Floor cleaner, Snehalaya Harpic, Snehalaya detergent liquid were inaugurated.

The Christmas celebration included cake cutting and sharing joy with each other. The Jingle bell dance was performed by Snehalaya staff. The president of the programme, Fr Andrew D’Souza, St Jude Thaddaeus, parish priest of Pakshikere Church and spiritual director of Snehalaya chief guest were present at the function. Fr Clement Mascarenhas, St Lawrence parish priest of Moodbelle, Fr Joseph K J, parish priest Pavoor Church, Norbert D’Souza, proprietor of Majestic Elevation (Builders and Developers), Abdul Rauf Puthige, founder of Talent Research Foundation, Sunil Kumar Bajal, secretary of CPIM Mangalore south, A K M Ashraf, president of Manjeshwar block panchayat, Raju Stephen D’Souza, Kerala tulu academy member were also present.

Jacintha Pereira raised the vote of thanks and Br Joseph Crasta delivered a token of love to the guests.

Rafeeq was the emcee for the programme.
