Udupi: Four injured seriously in tipper - scooty accident

Udupi, Dec 22: Four persons belonging to a single family including two children suffered serious injuries after a scooty and a tipper truck got involved in a collision on the night of Wednesday December 20. The accident happened at Panjimar Palame on Shirva - Katapadi road.

The injured persons happen to be Sadananda Tantry (42) residing in 'Vasuprabha', Bhagat Singh Road, Sooda village, his wife, Bhargavi, and children, Shreevatsa (14) and daughter, Sneha (6).

Tantry, it is gathered, was returning home along with his family after visiting his ailing father under treatment in a hospital in the town. At around 7.30 pm, a tipper truck coming from the direction of Shirva hit the scooty near Palame. Both the children have suffered extensive injuries to their skulls.
