Mangaluru: Prof Dr U S Krishna Nayak awarded 'Most Enterprising Dean of the Year'

Mangaluru, Dec 26: Prof Dr U S Krishna Nayak, principal and dean, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences has been conferred with the prestigious 'Most Enterprising Dean of the Year' award.

The award was conferred upon Dr U S Krishna Naya at national level by the Indian Health Professional Awards (2017) also known as the Health Care Oscar of India and presented on Saturday December 23 by the living legend Padmashri Milkha Singh at a glittering ceremony held in New Delhi.

Prof Dr Nayak has been serving at the A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences right from its inception in 1985. Besides being the HOD of the largest orthodontic department in the country, he has also been the youngest national president of Indian Dental Association, National Indian Orthodontic Society, International College of Dentists and past national chairman of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

He is the also first dental surgeon to be awarded the prestigious Karnataka Kannada Rajyotsava Award in 2003.
