Mangaluru, Dec 26: Addressing media here on Tuesday December 26, district BJP SC Morcha president Dinesh Amtoor said, "We strongly condemn the gang-rape and murder of a minor girl by six miscreants in broad daylight at Vijayapura. The police has not even traced a single culprit so far and stringent action should be taken against the culprits as this case is similar to the Nirbhaya gang-rape at Delhi.

"We even condemn the statement of home minister Ramalinga Reddy who denies the gang-rape and is trying to close the matter. Law and order in the state has utterly failed and there is no justice provided. There is also no security for women in this state. We urge that the case be handed over to the CBI or else SC Morcha will stage a protest."

SC Morcha district general secretary Vinaynethra Daddalkaad, Sheen Mastikatte, SC Morcha members Umesh Kotian and Vittal Salian were present.
