Mangaluru: Christmas goodwill meeting held at Sacred Heart Church Suratkal

Mangaluru, Dec 28: A Christmas goodwill meeting was held on December 25 at Suratkal church premises at 5.30 pm. Fr Paul Pinto, parish priest of Sacred Heart Church Surathkal chaired the meeting. He called on the gathering to work for the progress of the community as ambassadors of peace and love like Jesus Christ.

Chief guest K Jagadish, professor of Pompei College Aikala called on all to live with love and trust regardless of the religion to which we belong and lead a life of harmony.

Children presented a prayer dance. Christmas carols were sung. Dony Suares, vice president of parish pastoral council welcomed everybody. Pastoral council secretary Bernard D’Souza, cultural committee convener Asha Pinto, members of the council and members of the families in the parish took part in the meeting.

Felcy Mascarenhas and Mary Suares compered the meeting. Asha Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.

A Tulu drama ‘Yepala Lekka Padodchi’, by Kaup Ranga Taranga under the leadership of Samaja Rathna Leeladhar Shetty and directed by Sujith Shetty Panjathurguthu Kaup was performed at the end of the meeting.
