Udupi, Dec 28: In an accident which happened on national highway 66 near SBKS Enterprises, Varamballi, Brahmavar at around 3.30 pm on Wednesday December 27, a person seated in the Omni lost his life.
Ismail from Kaup died in this accident. His son, Muhammed Irfan, was driving the Omni van at the time of the accident.
Irfan, who was moving towards Brahmavar from the direction of Kundapur had overtaken a motor bike after which the omni suddenly went to extreme left and hit the parked truck from behind. The vehicle got stuck in the truck after the accident. Ismail, who was seated on the left side of the vehicle, suffered grave injuries, and lost his life. His son, Irfan, too suffered extensive injuries.
A case about the accident was registered in Brahmavar police station.
