Mangaluru, Feb 3: District BJP staged a protest here at the DC’s office on Friday February 2, condemning the murder of 28-year-old BJP activist Santhosh in Bengaluru on January 31.

BJP south president Vedavyas Kamath said, "Karnataka has witnessed 24 RSS and BJP activists’ murders. BJP activist Santhosh was murdered by four miscreants. The state government is passing irresponsible statements over the murder. We demand NIA probe into the case. The culprits should be nabbed and Rs 50 lac compensation should be given to the family of Santhosh.”

Former MLC Monappa Bhandary said, "Law and order in the state has completely failed resulting in the murder of 24 activists so far. Soon after the murder, the home minister passed some irresponsible statements. It is said that the murder took place in a drunken brawl. Ganju issue is also being discussed. If the state government does not take any action, within a few months, people will answer them in the elections.”
