Chicago, Feb 9: For the first time in the history of North America, a Konkani magazine in Kannada script is being published from Chicago, USA. ‘Veez Konkani’, the magazine’s first issue was published on February 7.
Dr Austin Prabhu, a veteran writer, dramatist, humanitarian and a philanthropist is the editor of this brand new magazine. This first issue contains news, stories, poem and a feature article. As the name of this magazine suggests ‘Veez’, it will be an e-magazine.
Back in India in the 1970’s, Dr Austin had edited and published four Konkani magazines simultaneously from Mangaluru. He revived his Konkani journalistic enthusiasm and came up with this Konkani electronic magazine for world Konkani lovers.
