Udupi: Woman dies after truck hits motor bike

Udupi, Feb 12: A woman who was seated on the pillion of a motor bike died after she fell on the road as a consequence of a lorry hitting the motor bike. The accident happened at Ambagilu Junction here on the evening of Saturday February 10.

Shakuntala (47) from Kelarkalabettu here had attended the marriage of her niece on Saturday. Her son, Sharat, was taking her back home in his motor bike, when a  truck which came from behind hit the motor bike at around 6.30 pm. Shakuntala fell on the road and died on the spot.

A case in this connection was registered in the traffic police station here.
