Moodbidri, Apr 6: “Each vote cast in favour of Congress will create a terrorist. Moodbidri market will come in the grip of jihadis if Congress MLA gets elected. Congress MLA who creates fear in society and scares people is supporting jihadi elements and terrorists,” alleged BJP Dakshina Kannada OBC Morcha chief secretary Krishnappa Poojary.

Speaking in a press conference held in Moodbidri press club here on Thursday, Apr 5, he said, “Jihadis are dominating the business transactions in Moodbidri. They have their say in the contract for construction of market here. MLA Abhayachandra Jain is with them. Campaigns to prevent Moodbidri from becoming like Kerala and Kashmir will be continued.

“MLA Jain does not pay attention to any development works in Moodbidri and has not done improvement worth even one a pie for backward classes. He never even visited the family of Prashanth Poojary who was killed. The district will come under the control of jihadis if Congress wins. We are campaigning to root out Congress from the district and the state to form a society free from fear,” he said.

BJP OBC Morcha Moodbidri mandala president Gopala Shettigar said, “There have not been major developments by Abhayachandra Jain who has been the MLA in Moodbidri during the last twenty years. There are no drainages. The backward class hostels are not in order, and there were no attempts to construct Kalyan Bhavans. The upcoming elections will be the answer to set those things right.”
