Puttur: Five suspected thieves of Bihar origin arrested

Puttur, Apr 7: DCIB police inspector Sunil Y Naik on night rounds with his team at Mani, Puttur and Kumbra on guidance from SP, Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda, has arrested five suspected thieves of Bihar origin. The police team on reaching Kollaje bus stand found five men looking suspicious and speaking in Hindi.

The men while asked by the police said that they are from Bihar state. On intense questioning they confessed that they had identified the houses of rich people for robberies. Knife, iron rod, hammer, chisel, packet of chilli powder, gloves and plaster were recovered from them.

The suspects are identified as Pramod Sharma (33), Ankush Raj (27), Tun Tun Kumar (24), Karan Kumar (19) and Prince Kumar (19). The suspects were handed over to Puttur rural police station for further investigation.
