Mangaluru, Apr 8: Dinesh Acharya (46), son of Bhoja Acharya from Padyaru in Yedapadavu here was killed after a tipper hit his motor bike opposite Kinnikambla Urdu school near Kaikamba, Gurpur, on the afternoon of Saturday April 7.
Acharya was moving in his motor bike towards Yedapadavu from Gurpur Kaikamba when a tipper moving at high speed towards Kaikamba, hit his bike. As the rider who was profusely bleeding remained by the roadside for half an hour, he lost lost of blood. Arrangements were later made to take him to the government hospital in the city but he breathed his last before medical attention could be extended.
Dinesh has left behind wife and two children. He had a furniture shop at Yedapadavu and had recently built a new house at Padyaru.
Bajpe police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
