Kasargod: Branch of tree falls on men engaged in cock fight, one dies two injured

Kasargod, Apr 10: A man died and two others were injured when the branch of a tree fell on them while they were engaged in cockfight at Bayikatte, near Kumble here on April 6.

The deceased is identified as Miyapadavu resident Jayaprakash Alva (38). Kudal Merkala resident Harish (35) and Bambrana resident Ramesh (27) have sustained injuries.

The unfortunate incident happened when the branch of a banyan tree gave in during Bayikatte Ambiladka festival. Jayaprakash Alva who sustained serious injuries was admitted into the ICU of a Mangaluru hospital, but he died without responding to treatment. Harish and Ramesh are under treatment.
