Kundapur: ACB team raids govt engineer's office, residence - scrutinizes documents

Kundapur, Apr 10: A team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the house and office of a government engineer, identified as Ravishankar, here. The raid began at 6 am on Tuesday April 10. The residence of Ravishankar at Nana Saheb Road and office on College Road were raided simultaneously. The ACB officials have been verifying documents they could lay their hands on during these raids.

There had been allegations that Ravishankar had converted his residential quarters into his office. It is said that among the general public, there is resentment about his way of functioning. Reportedly, an individual passed on certain reliable information about him to ACB based on which this raid was conducted. Officials have been busy sifting through documents in the residence and office of the official. A clearer picture is expected to emerge by today evening.

It i said that at the same time, raid was also conducted on the residence of Ravishnakar's father-in-law at Karwar by an ACB team.

ACB superintendent of police, Shruthi, deputy superintendent of police, Dinakar Shetty, Udupi police sub-inspector, Jayarama Gowda, and circle inspector, Suresh, took part in the raids.
