Kundapur: ACB raid unearths Rs 18 lac cash, 1.111 kg gold

Kundapur, Apr 12: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) which conducted raid and took up scrutiny based on complaint of amassing of wealth disproportionate to known sources of income relating to assistant engineer in the taluk panchayat here, Ravishankar, concluded its work on Wednesday April 11 evening.

The officials could find Rs 18 lac in cash and 1.111 kg gold in the possession of the engineer. They also took into custody documents about a site the engineer possesses in Kalavara village near here, and land measuring ten cents in the town in the name of the employee. It is said that several other incriminating documents were also seized by the officials which will be put to scrutiny in the coming days.

ACB investigation team said that they found landed property, ornaments and documents which are in excess of known sources of income of the engineer. The team said that the details of the raid would be furnished to ACB court.
