Bengaluru: Gauri Lankesh murder- accused taken to Ahmedabad for narco analysis

Bengaluru, Apr 16: K T Naveen Kumar, accused of involvement with the murder of veteran journalist, Gauri Lankesh, has been taken by the officials of the Special Investigation Team to Ahmedabad for subjecting him to narco analysis in the forensic science laboratory there.

Gauri had been shot at and killed at Ideal Home, Rajarajeshwarinagar here on September 5, 2017 and the Special Investigation Team had recently arrested Naveen Kumar in this connection. As his answers were found to be confusing and incomprehensible, the police had applied to the court seeking permission to subject him to narco analysis. As Naveen too expressed willingness to undergo this test, the court, which heard the application on March 12, gave permission for the same.

The officials had thereafter written to forensic science laboratory at Ahmedabad seeking to fix dates for the test. The laboratory had advised Kumar to be brought there between April 15 and 30, it is gathered.
