Bantwal, Apr 19: The police here have registered a case against Prathviraj from Sajipamunnur village in the taluk under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). He is accused of winning over the confidence of a minor girl by  promising to marry her, developing physical relationship, which resulted in her pregnancy.

The girl, who is  17 years old, got admitted into Lady Goschen Hospital at Mangaluru and gave birth to a male baby on April 18. When the staff of the hopsital questioned her about the father of the child, she provided the above information, it is gathered.

Reportedly, the accused had sex with the girl about nine and half months back. However, after the girl became pregnant, he refused to keep his promise of marriage, the girl stated.

A case stands registered in this connection in the town police station. The police stated that both the mother and her baby are fine.

    Thank God the baby has come to the world and salute to the family members.
    Better join them in wedding rather case.
    If boy is of same age (age??) then may not be of any evil intention but only surrendered urge of the body which is natural but could have controlled.
