Mangaluru, Apr 19: Senior BJP leaders Kumble Sundar Rao along with MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated district BJP election office here at Bunts Hostel on Thursday, April 19.

Addressing the gathering, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “The inauguration of district BJP election office is done here by lighting the lamp, which means that this state will now move from darkness to light in the upcoming elections. This election office has been lucky for us since its inception in 2004, where BJP turned victorious in elections. That means BJP will gain an upper hand in the upcoming elections by winning all eight constituencies.

“We will challenge Congress in the state. Our election campaigning process has already commenced in the state as Modi and Amit Shah are frequent visitors here. We have conducted Parivarthan Rally and Jana Suraksha Yatra in which Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath took part. People will definitely bless BJP during the upcoming elections.

“During the last five years under the Congress government several murders of Hindu activists likes Prashanth Poojary, Deepak Rao and many more have taken place. We will request the public to vote to power and succeed through our ideologies. We will let people know the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and inform people about the failure of the state government. There is no confusion in our party over selection of candidates as we select the most deserving ones. Congress is in confusion as their strongest contest will be on the losing side in the elections. Soon after the elections, Congress office will be vacant with Ramanath Rai left alone and BJP office will be seen crowded,” he said.

Senior leader Kumble Sundar Rao said, "Congress is a loot government. A case was registered for my speech at Ullal for saying U T Khader as ‘loot’ Khader. Actually it is the truth as Congress leaders are known to loot people's money.”

BJP leader Rukmaya Poojary said, "I am confident that BJP will gain the upper hand in the upcoming elections by winning all 8 constituencies in the district. During the last five years of Siddaramaiah government, law and order has failed, officials are not able to work with freedom, they appease only one community, and baseless allegations have been made against Modi. We can notice that how Modi is being followed by other countries for his administration.

"Score of funds has been released by the central government for various development works, and the state’s Congress government takes credit out of it. Congress is spending people’s money and gaining nothing out of it. There is no doubt that Yeddyurappa will become the next chief minister of the state,” she said.

Former MLC Monappa Bhandary, Vedavyas Kamath, Sulochana Bhat and others were present.
