Mangaluru, May 8: A youth from Kinnigoli in the taluk became victim of a road accident which happened on the highway between Al Jubail and Al Turaif in Saudi Arabia on Sunday May 6. While the youth from Attur, Kinnigoli, identified as Muhammed Rahil, son of Abdurrahman, died on the spot in the accident which occurred late night on Sunday, another person suffered injuries. However, identity of the injured person is yet to be ascertained.

Rahil was employed as coordinator of Saad Al Kathani, Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. As part of his duty, he was moving on the said highway along with a colleague in a car to Turaif on Sunday night.  Presumably, Rahil, who was driving the car, was overcome by sleep when the car reached Afzal Batin. As a result, the car strayed from its course and hit a huge truck that had been parked by the roadside. The car which was moving at considerable speed, got stuck under the truck, and Rahil, who suffered grave injuries to his head, succumbed to his injuries instantly.

The family is planning to bring the mortal remains of Rahil to his native place, and documents are being put together for this purpose. His relatives said that the body might reach the residence of the family at Attur on Thursday morning.
