Kundapur, May 8: Dr Keshava Koteshwar, convener of Belur Spoorthidhama brought light into the life of a poverty stricken girl who was admitted to the institute by a few youth from the city. Her life was filled with darkness till she came to Spoorthidhama. Education is the key to unlocking the golden door to freedom and this is how Kaveri's life was unlocked if it had not been through the support of Dr Keshava Koteshwar. Kaveri scored 533 marks in Arts stream in the second PU examination by which she was able to avail free education for further studies.

Kaveri belonged to Davanagere district. She has two younger brothers who are said to have been admitted to Spoorthidhama by their father soon after their mother's death.

In an era where kids with all the facilities are forced by their parents to study and go to school, Kaveri longs to study more. She has sent a clear message for all the underprivileged children who do not have access to schools that if provided with an opportunity, the sky is the limit.

According to her caretaker, Keshav Koteshwar says, "Many donors came forward to provide her with humanitaranian and monetary aid. One among them was Upendra Shetty of Sunnari village of Kundapur. He offered to look after her accomodation and education expenses for degree and KAS, IAS training.

Kaveri desires to study LLB in the future and to work for the rights of impoverished people. She says that everyone should be provided with basic education so that they can excel in life. There are many children on the street begging for their daily bread. If they get a good platform they will achieve something.

Nine years ago she was begging on the streets of Kundapur before reaching Belur Spoorthidhama. She took on education as a challenge and excelled in academics as well as extracurricular activities.
