Beltangady: Husband-wife duo from Haveri commit suicide at Dharmasthala

Beltangady, May 9: A couple from Haveri, which had arrived at Dharmasthala as pilgrims, ended their lives by hanging themselves in the temple town. The incident happened on Tuesday May 8.

Mrutyunjay Patil (60) from Byadagi in Haveri district, an entrepreneur and his wife, Netravati (55), were the ones who committed suicides.

The couple had taken a room in the temple lodge on Monday. The fact that they had killed themselves was noticed on Tuesday evening. Reasons for them to take this extreme step are not known.

A case was registered about this incident at Dharmasthala police station. The police have undertaken investigation.
