Bengaluru, May 9: Four persons, who had killed a cab driver named David (34) relating to physical relationship they and David shared with a lady, beheaded David. David's skull was then kept atop the flag post of a school.

All the four accused relating this gruesome incident stand arrested by Gangammanagudi police here. Prasad alias Mental l(26) from Doddabommasandra, Venu (25), Mahesh (30), and Manikanta (27), stand arrested for this crime.

The accused had physical relationship with a lady who was frequented by David too. On this issue, the four-member gang often quarreled with David. Angered by this repeated friction, Prasad had asked David who was living in Doddabommasanddra, Vidyaranapura, to come to the main road at Ramachandrapura on May 3. The gang provided David with liquor and started quarrel at around 10.45 pm. When they attacked David with sharp weapons, David tried to flee, but they chased him and succeeded in killing him.

It is said that sometime back, David had badly beaten up Mahesh, son of a tender coconut vendor, near the flag pole of a school in Ramachandrapura, duly warning him against approaching the lady patronized by the former. David also warned Mahesh of burying his body at that place by removing the flag post. Mahesh, who was keeping this warning in mind, went home after David was killed, brought the sickle his father used to slice tender coconuts, severed the skull of David with this sickle, and then kept the skull atop the flag post, police personnel said.
