Mangaluru, May 9: Minister, U T Khader, said that the state government headed by Siddaramaiah had made sure that everyone including minorities, backward classes and other smaller communities too get their rightful share in the financial resources of Karnataka. He was addressing an election campaign meeting at Konaje Asaigoly on Tuesday May 8.

He said that the state government had drawn various schemes and spent crores of rupees to realize the dream of Siddaramaiah to make sure that poor classes and the downtrodden get a share in the state's prosperity and they too lead a contented life without the need to wait for the mercy of someone.

The minister said that in the past, family members had to wait for hours in queues to get their ration of 20 kg rice. He hailed Siddaramaiah for formulating a scheme that has done away with the need to wait in long queues to get ration items. He felt that this scheme has revolutionized the public distribution system.

He thanked the voters of his constituency for constantly supporting him because of which he was entrusted with handling two major departments, both of which have won state and national level awards. He said he could manage the departments without a blemish for the government.
