Kasargod: Rider killed, two pillion rider injured, in accident near Manjeshwar

Kasargod, May 11: In an accident which happened on national highway 66 opposite Posotu Petrol Bunk, a motor bike rider lost is life, while two pillion riders suffered serious injuries. The accident occurred when a car hit their motor bike on Wednesday May 9 night.

Aithappa alias Vasanth (24) from Maruthane Aringula, who was working as loading worker for a laterite stone quarry, was the victim of this accident. He was the son of the late Anand and was unmarried. Ashok (25) from Bandyodu, and Vikhyath (22) from Hosangady Shantinagara sustained serious injuries. They have been admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru. The locals had rushed them to the hospital immediately after the accident before the police arrived.

Those in the car were from Kadambaru. They were returning to their village after visiting a hospital in Mangaluru when their car got involved in an accident. None of the passengers inside the car were injured.

The deceased has left behind four brothers, two sisters, and mother.
