Kundapur, May 11: “There is no safety for Hindu community under the Congress led government in the state. Congress government only knows to receive votes of Hindus. Therefore, the government should be exterminated. Its life span should be over in these elections,” said Kamalakara Mestha, father of slain Paresh Mestha, resident of Honnavar.

He was speaking at Gangolli hills after campaigning in Gangolli and surrounding areas supporting BJP candidates.

He said, “The Congress government will finish Hindus if they are allowed to continue. Siddaramaiah consumed fish and meat and visited the holy abode of Dharmasthala. They have no concern for religion and are indulging in poor administration. Two days remain for the elections and political parties hold cash and visit houses to lure people. People should vote as one against Congress without differences of religion and caste refraining from becoming victims of such temptation. I have come here to send a message that the poor administration of Congress must end.

“BJP should be supported for the protection of religion. I am confident that you will be provided justice if you support BJP in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. I am confident that BJP will come to power in the state to provide justice regarding the murder of Paresh Mestha. I am not sad that my son died for Hindutva. Nobody should be the victims of injustice like us. I am prepared to give my life for Hindu religion. I am requesting on my own accord to vote for BJP,” he said.

Rukma, mother of Paresh Mestha, taluk panchayat member Surendra Kharvi, Gujjadi gram panchayat president Harish Mestha, Gangolli gram panchayat member Laxmi Ganiga, Navin, Vinod Kumar Gujjadi, Prakash Kharvi, Ravindra Patel, Mohan Naik Gujjadi, BJP leaders and leaders of Hindu community organizations were present.
