Hassan, Jun 26: The fact that three teachers of a school, who had bagged employment on quota meant for differently abled persons, had in fact submitted fake certificates to bag these employments, has come to light after they worked for over 20 years. The department of public instruction has filed criminal cases against them.

The accused teachers happen to be G S Nagesh, Shanmukhayya, and D C Jagadeesh, working in primary school in Holenarasipur taluk in the district. They have been booked for fraud and forgery. These three had been absorbed on employment during 1996-97.

The three had bagged employment as physically challenged teachers. When the medical board examined them, it was found that the trio had furnished false documents for the purpose of gaining employment.

As soon as the said complaint was filed against them, the teachers had approached court seeking bail. The court, which heard these applications, granted bail to them with the condition that they should furnish bonds for two lac rupees each. The court also ordered them to present themselves personally in the before the police within 15 days. It said that the investigating officer should investigate them and release the same day on bail.
