Here in Mangalore no one is following lane discipline and that leads to road accidents . Udipi to Mangalore high way is difficult to drive as autos and 2 wheelers are seen driving on the wrong side. There are highway patrols on the highway and most of the time they are seen parking on the road side or after the trucks where they can make some fast bucks.

Section 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act clearly states that vehicles without registration, temporary number plates(TC) and no number plates cannot be driven in a public place. Traffic police should launch a drive and clamp down on such vehicles. In case of an offense such vehicles are difficult to track.

Don't know what happened here, but people think that when they stop by the side, they are safe. This incident clearly shows that is not.
If you have to stop, why not stay clear from the road, and in this case, it appears that there was parking space in front of the Mazjid.
Anyway, fate had its way. From the looks of it, it appears that hell went lose with the new car and the driver was probably testing its ability to its fullest. Very sad.

Very sad at the loss of life as no insurance can bring it back. One thing is real: We are careless the way we drive, stop and park our vehicles in the middle of the road without due respect for other road users. If it is a stop or parking, first thing needed is to look for a place to go out of the road so that other vehicles can pass without obstruction.

Main problem in Mangalore is when people park or stop the car beside the carriageway and also on the carriageway never use the hazardous lights. Then anyone who is on the carriageway will know that some vehicle is parked.

    Exactly !

Until I was a passenger in a friend's car, and the vehicle needed to be stopped briefly, I insisted on pressing that triangle but the friend never realized it existed and its purpose.

    Strange !

New, non-registered Polo car. May have come from one the automobile showrooms along the highway in the vicinity, for a test drive.

I wonder what type of motor insurance functions in this case whereas besides the new vehicle, three more seem to be sustained damages and one lost life.

RIP Mohammed Farooq and speedy recovery to the injured.

Parking on the road & driving at high speed caused this accident it seems.
Both the cars are brand new & some want to test the power of their cars with high speed, a small mistake & a grave adventure took away one more life on the road.
