Kaup, Jun 27: Two cows tied for grazing fell in a stream and died at Badagaraguthu, Mallaru on Tuesday, June 26.

The cows belonged to Sunanda Poojarthy, resident near Kaveri Katte, Badagaraguthu here. The cost of the cows is said to be nearly Rs 60,000.

Sunanda had tied the cows for grazing. As the rope was long, it is suspected that the cows might have slipped while grazing and fallen in the water.



 

Koppalagandi Bhargava friends led by Anil Shetty pulled the dead cows out from the stream. Veterinary doctors rushed to the spot and held investigations.

    Very sad such a loss too,They should have controlled now and then whether cows got enrolled in their rope or safe.Many times cows left to graze were stolen ,or sometimes rope will get knote around and get strick around their neck.As one sees they were in water for long time.Probably they wanted to drink water and slipped down.
