Mangaluru: World Vitiligo Day - ‘Vitiligo Jatha’ arrives at FMMCH

Mangaluru, Jun 28: On the occasion of World Vitiligo Day, Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) – Karnataka branch, has organized a public awareness campaign throughout Karnataka. On the eve of World Vitiligo Day, ‘Vitiligo Jatha’, a vehicle which is travelling throughout Karnataka arrived to Father Muller Medical College premises on June 27.

Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, administrator, FMMCH and Fr Jeevan George Sequeira, assistant administrator, FMMCH, Dr Sanjeev Rai, CMS FMCI, Dr Sukumar D, professor and HOD of Dermatology, staff and post graduates of department of Dermatology were present during the occasion. Leaflets about vitiligo were distributed to the public. The vehicle then proceeded to various other places in the city.



Vitiligo camp was organised by the department of Dermatology in Skin OPD on June 27. Free registration for all the patients with vitiligo, 50% reduction in charges for phototherapy and surgical modalities like punch/blister grafting and free medicines were provided to the patients.
