Udupi, Jun 30: Dinesh Puthran, president, Udupi district Congress publicity committee, said that MLA Raghupati Bhat is now taking credit for development works done by former MLA Pramodh Madhwaraj.

Addressing media he said, “MLA Raghupati Bhat is now visiting the development works done by former MLA Pramod Madhwaraj. Raghupati Bhat had opposed the decision take by Pramod regarding Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Haji Abdullah Mother & Children’s hospital earlier. Now Raghupathi Bhat has visited the hospital and held discussions with the doctors and administrators.

“Former CM Siddaramaiah, the then Health minister Ramesh Kumar, and the then MLA Pramod Madhwaraj had taken efforts to construct Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Haji Abdullah Mother & Children’s hospital in order to benefit public. This step was taken to provide high class health care facilities to the people for free. When Pramodh Madhwaraj had given the hospital to B R Shetty for construction, Raghupati bhat had opposed the move. But now he has applauded the working of the hospital. This change in Raghupati Bhat’s behavior is a good sign.

“Now, Raghupati Bhat has been visiting the developmental works done by Pramodh Madhwaraj in the name of inspection. His statement that he had backed the control of government in hospital administration from the beginning is questionable,” he said.

B Narasimhamurthy, chief secretary Alevoor Harish Kini, secretary Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor Nagesh Kumar Udyavara and others were present.
